What is SOL Assists?
SOL Assists (Smart Oriented Learning) is management software for schools, colleges and institutes in India. Students, staff and parents use one platform for admissions, records, timetables, attendance, exams and results, fees, leave, homework, notes and announcements, on the web and in the SOL Assists mobile app.
Is SOL Assists a school ERP?
Yes. It covers what a school ERP does, from admissions and fees to attendance, exams and staff records, and gives principals and management live reports. It also works for colleges, coaching institutes and groups that run several institutions.
Does it work for colleges and coaching institutes, or only schools?
Any institution. You name your own campuses, programmes, classes and roles, and a group or trust can run many institutions from one account, each with its own branding and its own data kept separate.
Do parents get attendance alerts?
Yes. When a face-recognition device at the gate records a child's arrival, parents are told in the app straight away. Teachers can also mark attendance in a tap. WhatsApp alerts are coming soon.
Is SOL Assists a student management system?
Yes. Every student is a record with history: admission, class placements, promotions, transfers, documents, attendance, marks, fees and the guardians linked to them. The same record is what teachers, the office, parents and the student each see their part of, which is what a student management system or student information system is for.
Which boards and kinds of institution does it support?
Any. The academic structure is yours to define, so CBSE, ICSE and state board schools, degree colleges, coaching institutes and tuition centres each set up their own classes or batches, subjects, terms, exams and grade bands. Is there a mobile app?
Yes. The SOL Assists app runs on Android and iPhone for parents, students, teachers and staff: attendance, homework, notes, exam schedules, results and announcements in one place, with fees for parents.
How is student data kept safe?
Each person sees only what their role allows, each institution's data is kept separate, important changes are recorded, documents are shared by short-lived links, Aadhaar numbers are stored encrypted, and accounts are created by invitation rather than shared passwords.
