Privacy notice

This notice covers solassists.com, the public website. It does not cover the SOL Assists application itself, which is governed by the agreement between us and the organization that operates it.

Where an organization uses SOL Assists to hold learner records, that organization decides what is collected and why. We process that data on their instructions.

How the application itself handles personal data is described at app.solassists.com/privacy.

We handle personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We collect only what you send us. If you complete the demo request form, we receive:

• Your name and work email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to give one
• Your organization name and type
• The approximate number of learners in your organization
• The areas you told us you are interested in, and any message you wrote

The demo request form asks you to tick a box agreeing that we may store these details and contact you about a demo. The box is never ticked for you, and we do not accept the form without it.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected]. We will then stop contacting you and delete your details, unless the law requires us to keep something.

Like any website, the servers and network providers that deliver this site record technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page asked for, to keep it running and secure. These records are kept for a limited period.

This website's code sets no cookies and includes no advertising or analytics scripts. Our network provider may set a security cookie; the cookie policy explains it.

We use these details to reply to you, to arrange a walkthrough, and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for advertising or profiling.

Only the people and services needed to reply to you:

• Our own enquiry system, where the request is stored and only authorised SOL Assists staff can see it
• The members of our team who reply to enquiries, by email
• Cloudflare, which delivers this website and protects it from attacks
• Our hosting and email providers, who store and carry the data for us and may not use it for anything else

This website loads no content from other companies: no embedded videos, maps, chat widgets, social media buttons or tracking pixels. Its fonts, images and 3D model are served from our own site, so visiting a page does not tell anyone else that you were here.

We keep enquiry details while the conversation is active and for a limited period afterwards in case you come back to us. After that they are deleted automatically. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.

The form is sent over an encrypted connection. Stored enquiries can be seen only by SOL Assists staff with permission to see them, and every deletion is recorded.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• Correct or complete it
• Delete it
• Name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot do so yourself

Write to [email protected] for any request or complaint about your personal data. A person will reply, and we will resolve a complaint within the time the law allows.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

This website is meant for adults who look after institutions. It is not meant for children, and the demo request form should not be used to send us a child's details.

If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page.
